Jen Benka serves as the President & Executive Director of the Academy of American Poets, the producer of Poets.org and Poem-a-Day, and the largest supporter of poets and poetry organizations in the nation. Jen is also the author of two poetry collections, and writes and tweets about the importance of poetry in our culture.
